Do my guests need to install an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and land straight in the browser. No store, no account, no password — they just enter their name once so everyone can see whose photos are whose.
Do I need an account as the host?
Yes — without an account we couldn't assign the gallery to you or let you manage it. It's created when you set up your first gallery: enter your email address, done. There's no password; we send you a link every time you sign in. Your guests still don't need to sign in anywhere.
What does it cost my guests?
Nothing. You pay once for the gallery, your guests upload and download for free — as often as they like.
How long do the photos stay available?
48 hours on the free trial plan, otherwise 3 or 12 months. Importantly, the clock only starts with the first photo uploaded, not with your order. So you can create the gallery months ahead without losing any time.
Where are the pictures stored?
On servers in Frankfurt am Main, encrypted at rest — storage and processing happen there and nowhere else. The data centres are run by Amazon Web Services; our contracting party is based in Luxembourg, its parent company in the USA. We do not transfer any data there. Our privacy policy explains how this is safeguarded.
Can strangers see the photos?
Only people with the link get in — the address contains a random part and can't be guessed. If you want to be extra sure, set a four-digit access code. Search engines are excluded.
Can I delete pictures again?
As the host you can hide or delete any picture. Guests can only remove their own uploads, not other people's. And you can delete the whole gallery early at any time, without asking us.
What quality do I get the pictures in?
Downloads come in full original resolution, exactly as the phone took them. In the gallery itself we show smaller versions — that saves your guests' data and keeps browsing fast.
Are videos possible?
Yes, from the Feier plan upwards: up to 1 minute per video, and up to 3 minutes on the Hochzeit plan. Videos aren't included in the trial plan.
What happens when the time is up?
Then we really delete — pictures, videos and guests' names. So it doesn't catch you out, on the paid plans we remind you fourteen days and again three days beforehand by email, in good time to save everything. Only the short trial plan has no reminder.
What if the signal at the party is poor?
Pictures go straight from the phone to us, with no detour. If the connection drops, the page retries by itself and says so if something didn't arrive. Worst case, guests upload from home the next day — the link stays valid.
Can I try it first?
Yes. The Test plan is free and needs no payment details: 10 photos, available for 48 hours. That's enough to walk through the whole thing once.
Can I show the pictures on a big screen?
Yes, that's what projector mode is for. It shows the party's pictures full screen, new ones jump to the front, and the QR code stays visible in the corner — in our experience that's the best way to get even more guests joining in.
Who is behind Fotorium?
Fotorium is a brand of Event Paradies Nimaro GmbH, based in Blankenfelde-Mahlow near Berlin. We've been renting out technology for parties for years — photo booths, bouncy castles, accessories — and know how an event actually runs.
