Group trip

Group trip photos: every picture in one place

A weekend away with twelve people produces twelve photo albums. And twelve it stays, because pooling them fails at the same point every time.

The attempt always goes the same way: someone creates a group chat, three people send their best five pictures, and the rest never get round to it. What arrives is compressed and no good for printing. What doesn't arrive stays in the album of someone who, two years later, has forgotten they even have it.

A gallery turns this around. Instead of chasing people, there's a link you post in the existing group, or a QR code that gets passed around on the way there. Uploading needs no account and no app; a first name is enough. And a picture arrives exactly as it was taken, not as a preview of it.

The difference only shows once you're home. Instead of searching fourteen albums, everyone's shots are in one place and can be downloaded in one go — including the videos that were too big for any group chat. That's the stuff a photo book is made of, the one nobody would otherwise manage to collect the pictures for.

What gets captured along the way

On a trip, pictures aren't taken in one place or at one time. That's exactly why, in the end, nobody has them all.

Getting there

Dozing on the coach, breakfast at the service station, the sign at the edge of town. Shots nobody thinks are important, and that turn out to be the best ones two years later.

Reaching the top

Everyone photographed the same view — but from a different spot and at a different time. Put together, they make up the day; on their own, it's the same valley twelve times over.

The evening

At the table, whoever isn't talking takes the pictures. In these shots everyone looks like themselves, and they're scattered across the phones of whoever took them.

The day after

If you only sort through your photos at home, upload them then. The gallery stays open for as long as the package runs — up at a mountain hut, the signal is rarely good enough for two hundred photos anyway.

Questions

Common questions

See all questions →
Do my guests need to install an app?

No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and land straight in the browser. No store, no account, no password — they just enter their name once so everyone can see whose photos are whose.

What if the signal at the party is poor?

Pictures go straight from the phone to us, with no detour. If the connection drops, the page retries by itself and says so if something didn't arrive. Worst case, guests upload from home the next day — the link stays valid.

How do I get all the pictures at once in the end?

Through the bulk download: request it once and we pack everything into a ZIP file at original resolution. For a large party the packing takes a few minutes, then the file is ready. If you like, your guests may download it too — then nobody has to ask you for individual pictures.

Is there a free version of the gallery?

For trying it out yes, for a real party no. The Test plan costs nothing and needs no payment details: 30 files (photos or videos), available for 48 hours, up to 3 guests. That is not enough for an actual celebration — several hundred pictures pile up quickly, and they should stay for months. Storage and traffic cost us money, and we cover that through the price rather than through advertising or selling your data. Hence from 59 €, one-off.
